Music Makes Me Move is an early childhood music and movement class based on the WeJoySing curriculum of Jo Kirk, a nationally known leader/educator in early childhood music education. The research-based program allows children and their caregivers to experience the JOY that music brings through singing, dancing, and playing together! Ms. Jody trained under Jo Kirk and UMA is the only studio in Kentucky chosen to offer this amazing curriculum.

Classes are designed for the child and a caregiver! One caregiver must stay and participate during class.

8 Week Fall Session begins Sept. 9, 2024.

6 Week Winter Session begins Jan. 6, 2025.

6 Week Spring Session begins Mar. 24, 2025. (Registration opens Feb. 10)

6 Week Summer Session begins June 17, 2025. (Registration opens April 14)

8 week session

*one child = $128

*An optional instrument kit can be purchased for $25. It includes a drum, 2 shaker eggs, rhythm sticks, and a scarf in a canvas tote bag. Please email your teacher if you’d like to purchase one.

*classes will max out at 8 children. Union Music Academy reserves the right to cancel the class and issue refunds if the class does not have at least 4 families registered.

There will be no refunds for missed classes. If there is space in another class, you may schedule a makeup during the same session in which you missed a class.

If a family wishes to drop the class mid-session, refunds will not be given.

If local schools close or delay due to weather, morning classes will automatically be canceled. Evening classes will be up to the discretion of the teacher. Classes missed due to weather will not be refunded or rescheduled.

If class must be canceled due to instructor illness, we will attempt to extend the session by a week. If that is not possible, a credit for the missed class will be issued to your account.
